What Is A Landing Page?
Landing
pages are sometimes referred to as "splash"
pages. They are to create focus on a particular product or
service. Content is usually confined to one area of a
product or service.
They can also contain a web form which can be connected to an
autoresponder for sending out automatic emails. Many
landing pages use a "live chat" feature so as to
provide instant information.
Why Use A
Landing Page
Many affiliate sites, although well done usually don't contain
the proper information on any one page. For example while
pay-per-click services don't require splash pages some are
beginning to require the use of focused landing pages and
unfortunately most affiliate sites only allow limited and ineffectual
changes.
Google now uses the quality of the ad's landing page and other
relevancy factor to determine minimum bid price. As
a result a good landing page, well focused on the product will
not only increase effectiveness it will also increase sales.
